The Pittsburgh Steel Group facility is outfitted with advanced computer-aided detailing and fabrication systems, enabling seamless electronic processing of information from engineering and drafting directly to the shop floor. Initial operations such as cutting, drilling, punching, prepping, and burning are executed using state-of-the-art processing machines that utilize CNC files sourced directly from our 3D models.
Member Assembly - After all fittings and small components have been machined, PSG fitters and welders meticulously transfer critical dimensions from the fabrication drawings to the steel pieces. This information includes detailed part markings, precise dimensions, and the necessary weld symbols essential for final fabrication. This process demands a high level of skill from fitters and welders, many of whom have been with PSG since its inception.

PSG collaborates with union-certified Ironworkers Erectors to deliver exceptional service in the erection of our products. Our erectors are equipped with state-of-the-art safety equipment, enabling them to complete projects efficiently while upholding the highest safety standards expected by our clients. The PSG team works in close coordination with the steel erectors to effectively sequence projects, ensuring that we meet our customers' requirements.
Our Project Manager conducts multiple site visits alongside the erector to assist the customer in identifying on-site challenges that may affect scheduling, both prior to and during the erection process. By fostering a collaborative team environment, we guarantee that the project is completed to the satisfaction of our customers.
